Seven Lakes Info
Amenities
As a property owner in Seven Lakes North and South, you are entitled to a number of incredible amenities. There are actually 7 lakes and their names are as follows: Sequoia, Echo, Longleaf, Big Juniper, Little Juniper, Longleaf, Timber, and Ramapo. Lake Sequoia and Echo Lake are the only lakes on which you may ski. If you are really interested in skiing and tubing, Sequoia is the only real choice based on the size. All of these lakes are man-made, spring-fed lakes with incredibly clear water. In addition to the lakes, the other amenities include a pool, the beach area below the pool, tennis courts, bocce ball courts, several playgrounds, horse stables, the clubhouse adjacent to the pool, Sequoia Point beach area and boat slips, and the covered docks with grills located around several of the lakes.
All of these amenities are covered with the association dues that homeowners pay. The 2016 dues are $1025 per home. There are no city taxes for Seven Lakes, only Moore County taxes. When you think about what the association dues cover, the value of these amenities is tremendous!
Seven Lakes West is a 3,000-acre community with a separate amenity package which centers around Lake Auman which is a man-made spring-fed lake that is approximately 1,000 acres. This lake is very popular for boating, sailing, fishing or swimming.
There is a marina area called Johnson’s Point where boats can be launched and also has boat slips that can be rented long term. There are multiple covered grilling stations, a playground area, beach and storage area for kayaks and canoes. This is a favorite gathering spot for many and the community even hosts free concerts here in the summer months. Additionally, there is a large clubhouse complex with a pool, playground, tennis courts, and a basketball court. The combined package provides a wealth of opportunities for property owners and their guests.

July 4th Activities
The original developer of Seven Lakes started the tradition of shooting fireworks on July 4th. In the beginning, the fireworks were directed over Lake Longleaf, near the clubhouse and pool. Now they are launched from Sequoia Point and the day has become probably the biggest day of the year for Seven Lakes residents and guests. Everyone is grilling out and enjoying watermelon, hot dogs, burgers, brats, etc. There’s even live music some years.
The day starts with a boat parade in the morning and the fireworks start around 9:00 PM. Boaters park under the fireworks to see an incredible site and the echoes coming off the water are quite amazing. Others park on the dam or set up on land to enjoy the show. It’s a great day of celebrating our national holiday that everyone will enjoy.
